The new site comprises four halls and covers a total of 43,000 m², with around 4,700 m² on the first floor, some of which will be used for offices. DOKVAST is aiming to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM score for this distribution centre in relation to both the design and the execution. It would be the first time that the highest achievable BREEAM certificate has been awarded to a distribution centre in the Netherlands. The design has come from Habeon Architecten, part of the Heembouw Group. Logistics service provider DB Schenker Logistics will lease the distribution centre. Raimond Weenink commercial estate agent from Tilburg will oversee the transaction. C2N building management from Zoetermeer will supervise the project as a BREEAM expert. The most sustainable distribution centre opens its doors in autumn 2013.

DOKVAST chose Vossenberg West II because the site is located alongside the new container terminal, among other things. The commercial site is also easily accessed from the A58 and the N261. The industrial estate Vossenberg West II is an expansion of 100 hectares of the existing Vossenberg site, which covers 300 hectares. The new site offers space for large-scale logistics service providers.A large number of smaller sites are also available.
