Two distribution centres among the most sustainable buildings of the Netherlands

Each year, BREEAM-NL classifies the most sustainable new buildings in the Netherlands.  This year, the distribution centres of DOKVAST were included. Apart from office building The Edge, the two newly built distribution centres were the most sustainable of the Netherlands.

Distribution centre DOKVAST NewLogic II ranks second on the BREEAM-NL list, with a sustainability score of 91.18 percent. The building, which houses the American Tesla Motors, consists of four interlinked distribution halls with an overhead mezzanine floor for storage. The premises were constructed in a short period of time and comply with the most recent sustainability requirements.

The third also went to DOKVAST

As a real estate developer, DOKVAST focuses on sustainable logistics real estate. So it is no surprise that the company occupies the third place at another location. Distribution centre DOKVAST Vossenberg West II attained a sustainability score of 91.17 percent. A striking feature of the Tilburg distribution centre is the automatically dimming LED lighting, triple insulating glazing, extra insulation in the facades and the roofs. In the future, 40,000 solar panels will be installed on the roof of the DC.
